So, I know it's early, but anybody think there'll be a MGS4 demo released? There was one for MGS2 and MGS3, and methinks Hideo loves to tease people by making us taste a little bit of his work with the demos. So, I actually think there's gonna be one next year, prior to the release of the game.

I just hope he doesn't put it into another game, like with MGS2. I hope he gives the rights to some game magazine so I don't have to pay $50 for a game I'm not gonna play, and a demo which can be recieved with a $10 purchase of a small booklet.

Good to see you back, Liquiduz. I don't even remember there being a demo for MGS3. When and with what was that release?

It was in a mag...I remember storming in malls trying to see if it shipped in and I found it.

If anything, the way SONY is gonna rip off the Xbox Live and dashboard...you just have to pay for the download of the demo...or find the mag that has the demo disc.

It was in the Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Issue 86 October 2004.



EDIT: For reference it was the mag that had a bunch of ! exclamation marks moving diagonally down the cover. It came out around the time that Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow came out.

I'm sure there will be a demo but we would not be able to know when. I don't know when the MGS1 demo came out (I wasn't into games back then) but the MGS2 and 3 demos came out at very different times of the games' development.

MGS2 Demo: March 2001

MGS3 Game: November 2004

If anyone knows the MGS1 demo release, please post. But as you can see from the other 2 a prediction for MGS4 would be impossible.

Im guessin MGS4 (the game) will probably come out in November too? I dunno, seems like a pattern to me. I seriously thought it would come out on July 7, 2007 'cause it was MG's anniversary. Turns out that date was off.

My hope is that we see a demo after E3. Chances are the demo will be playable at E3, and a few months from then, it will be available to the public. So right now, I say like a August-October release for the demo.

Well they may put a playable demo up at E3 in May, and then since July 7th is Metal Gear's 20th anneversary, they could take the demo public and then release the game in November.
