Hey guys. I got something interesting about Big Boss's name. You know how they say that Rambo is referred to in Snake Eater by the sneaking parts, Big Boss himself, the naked uniform, the survival knife? Well I got something else that's interesting, this one is a possible reference to Rambo's name, concerning Big Boss's real name. In Snake Eater, we know Big Boss as Snake (I think Eva says this), Jack (Major Zero, the other support team members), Naked Snake (at first) and John/John Doe (Ocelot thinks John's his name). We guess that his full real name is Jack something. Since he calls himself John Doe as well, many fans and people decide that his full name is Jack John Doe. Notice how Jack and John are both J? Now here's the Rambo part.
Those of you who saw First Blood part 1, will know the scene where the cop looks at Rambo's Dog Tags and reads it aloud: "Rambo... John J." There it is!!! John and his middle name starts with J!!! My guess is that the Konami team wanted to make a reference to this.
I'm not saying this is true, but it is arguably a good possibility.

). Jack is very possibly his first name and the fact that he chose John as a fake name to Ocelot brings the J and J. Now, I said that Konami probably made a reference to Rambo with the two J's by having Big Boss have 2 J names. So there.
