I don't know if everybody got this. But in the July 2006 issue of the game magazine PSM Hideo Kojima stated there's a big possibility there will be several sequels to Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. Due to the long time span between Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear.
The strange things is, if he wants to make a sequel to the Metal Gear series at least make it for the Playstation 2. Handheld consoles are for side-games, not for a Metal Gear Solid game that take place in the main time-line.
I thought Kojima always wanted the best for his games, especially for the Metal Gear series. Why make a bunch of crap sequels on the PSP? The sounds and screen resolution suck compared to the Playstion 2. And next to that, far more people own a Playstation 2.
Ask yourself this... Would you ever think you could get the same experience from Metal Gear Solid 3 if it was released as a PSP game?

I'm not surprised, in fact I posted something about this possibility before. PSP will have the filler games. You got MGS3 and MG. Well, all the stuff in-between will be the filler stuff.
This doesn't really bother me too much except that I would want them to do other timelines, not just a pre-MG era. I want to see some Phylanthropy missions.
MGS4, I believe, will be the last cannon game that ends the story. However, more games will come. And since making sidestories doesn't sell, they will make filler cannon games.
