Even though this is old, I can't believe Metal Gear didn't win the best series ever. Only a few votes were placed in. But did anyone vote more than once?
I think if we voted more than once each, Metal Gear would have won.

You can't vote more than once. GameFAQs tracks votes by IP address because voting more than once is juvenile fraud and is heavily looked down upon. Imagine how many more fraudulant votes Final Fantasy would recieve if rabid fanboys could spam as many votes as they want? Metal Gear would still have lost. Period.

Uhhhhhhhhhh, that's where you're wrong, buddy. If you noticed, you vote both as your member account and while logged out. Then when you want to vote again, first vote, then close your window, wait a few minutes, then come back and do it again. So many people did this and this is the reason some games had so much. If anyone was smart, they would have done the same thing. Me, and at least hundred Metal Gear fans voted at least twice. But now, it's over.
And the reason you can do this is because your IP adress changes frequently. They don't use your static IP.

It's good to know we have so many, um, honest Metal Gear brothers.
Play fair!

It's good to know we have so many, um, honest Metal Gear brothers. Play fair! Yeah, that's the long and short of that part. But those who don't know, the finalists in the best series ever (ie: legend of zelda, super mario bros, final fantasy) also had, in fact, MANY multi-time voters. This is the reason I said, if more metal gear fans did the same, there'd be a match between the other exageraters, too.
