Do you guys notice the difference between the two? I know it's hard since the voice is the same, but the personalities do seem different. For one, Snake hits on just about any skirt that comes around. Big Boss isn't the womanizer Snake is.

Big Boss also seems to act as the quintessential soldier, too. He's a soldier before anything else, it seems. Snake, on the other hand, doesn't follow orders blindly and questions his superiors. He's more of a humanist, a thinker and sympathizer with others. Big Boss seems bound by honor to his country. Snake seems to abhor any sense of personal honor and disdains being a soldier for any government.

Snake was like that until he was betrayde by Big Boss, wasn't he? Then he retired, got recruited by the CIA, retired, called in for the Zanzibar thing, retired... It's obvious he tried not to be a soldier after the Outer Heaven incident.
