Anyone knows when the new trailer is out, or if there is a new one coming at all?

I think this is the long stretch, unless we see a demo in the Spring like with MGS2. The problem is that we don't know what kind of a show MGS3 would be shown at. Normally we would have to wait until May E3, but that show is no canceled. So there I have no idea what show they would use instead.

Oh, ueah, forgot about E3 being canceled.
Will MGS4 be released at the same time as PS3, or later? It probably isn't said officially, but what do you guys think?

First off; great idea to have official threads for each game. That way there won't be several minor threads with only two three replies each. Great for motivating conversation.
Second. I can't wait to play this game. I just saw a screenshot of Snake when he is battling a Metal Gear in a staircase (one of the newest trailers). Look at the freakin' detail! I never noticed his wrinkles when I saw it in motion, but if you watch it frame by frame, you'll realize how brutally awesome the animation work is in MGS4.
I think they've done a great job with the graphics. Sure, Halo 3, Gears of War and Quake Wars all look good graphically, but it's not that hard to do I believe. It's all metal. In MGS4 they have rubber clothing, realistic hair movement, tons of little details. And above all, interactive environments per real definition. They've done a great job.

I don't know about this Gears of War game - why is everyone getting so crazy for it? I've seen the trailer, what's mind-blowing about it?

I kinda agree. I really think it's the hyped graphics. But at this point in time I don't understand how people can get excited about graphics. I mean... yeah, it looks real. So what? That was mind-blowing 5 years ago, not today.

It's not really a matter of taste. It's like movies. Jurassic Part - wow! The dinosaurs looked REAL! Holy crap! Now... it BETTER look real or you got nothing. But hey, if you can get excited about the same thing over and over, more power to you. For me, if the games looked real in 2000 it should come as no suprise that they look real in 2006. That's why MGS4 doesn't strike the same hype that MGS2 did. Yeah it looks good, but it's not mindblowing.
