It's a tough call, especially now that they are sharing a body... Let's look at the stats, shall we:
Ocelot: Son of The Boss, vital background villain of MGS3, MPO, MGS, and MGS2. One of the original Patriots.
Liquid: Son of Big Boss, main villain of MGS and MGS2. Seemingly was using Ocelot in MGS2.
It's a tough call. Liquid is clever, but look at Ocelot's background. There is no way that anyone can say after MGS3 and MPO that Ocelot is merely Liquid's puppet.
I say Ocelot. He fooled bigger fish than Liquid.

I think Ocelot too. But I think he might be battle internally with Liquid throughout the game. But I don't have any clue as to what Liquid wants to achive now. In MGS he wanted to save his genes, but that failed. It was a personal motive. Wonder what he'd be up to now?
I don't think Liquid used Ocelot very much in MGS2. He did some things, but I don't think Liquid had enough power over Ocelot's body to influence him when Ocelot was present. But that could easily have changed now. Especially when Snake and Liquid meet again.

That would make for a creative Boss fight. They switch during the fight, so it'll be like fighting two different people at the same time.

I'm sure if I thought of it Kojima thought of it by now.
But I would get a kick out of guessing it right if it does happen that way.

I reckon Liquid is still the main evil considering what that psykic said in Portable Ops, and since his original voice actor died (japanese) Ocelot might have alot smaller part as a result. (hence why we have only heard Liquid in the trailers)

(hence why we have only heard Liquid in the trailers) The japanese Ocelot died? Wasn't that just a rumour? Or was that about some other VA? |

I just can't imagine them not using him. Ocelot is without a doubt THE villain of the Metal Gear saga.

I get the feeling Liquid and Ocelot are no longer going to be split like before though maybe there thoughts and memories have melded together after so long he's become of one mind. Hence the name Liquid Ocelot in the Trailers.
