So I don't have a PSP and don't plan on getting one...and I am very displeased with the fact that a canon game with very vital (and interesting) information is not available to the primary console the game runs on anymore (PS2).
So is there any way for me to find like the game script? Or see the cutscenes? I have watched some on YouTube, but they only seem to be the little artsy scenes, and a lot appears to happen in between that I miss.
I really want to play this game, especially to read about Null being Gray Fox, because that is amazing.

Then you are out of luck. Those comicbook-style scenes are the bulk of it. What you are missing out is the info that is discussed between each of the little mission. There is some Codec conversations, but not many and not much vital. The point I'm making is that most of the non-cutscene info is discussed right in the gameplay... So unless you play you really can't get it. Sorry.

The PSP should be shot and killed. And thus, the PS2 would inherit this game.
Damn.

Actually the game wouldn't really work well on the PS2. You see what's RIGHT about this game is the fact that it tailor-fit to a portable system. The game consists of smaller missions and fitting style of cutscenes. Everything is scaled down. Had this been a console game: 1. You could not use the Comic Book style cutscenes. 2. You could not use the smaller-mission format. 3. It would take far longer to develop. 4. Had they used the same MGS3-style game engine it would've been a cheap clone of Snake Eater. I'm the first guy to point out dislikes of new additions to the cannon, but I admit that I was wrong about MPO. The game adds a lot to the evolution of the series, and does so as only can be done on a portable system. The bottom line is... get a PSP. It's a good system. And with the definitive success of MPO, I bet there will be at least one more cannon title for it. As such, you can already pick up 4 things that are a MUST-HAVE for an MG Fan. You'll have 2 MPOs and 2 Digital Graphic Novels. That will already make the system worth your while. Trust me.

And there are som good games besides Metal Gear ones that are worth checking out, like Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Daxter and Ridge Racer.

If I had to - like really had to - pass every game besides one, the one which I would play would be MGS4. But soon, PSP might have a drop in price, so go snag one then if you have enough money to both the PSP and the PS3.
