In Metal Gear Solid, The Next Generation Special Forces gene therapy was a joint project between the Department of Defence and the ATGC Company. ATGC, A leading company in the field of bioengineering can be seen stenciled on some doors in Shadow Moses. ATGC is an acronym for adenine, thiamine, guanine and cytosine, the four base proteins which all human DNA consists of.

I havent played MPO yet, but it seems that it's the only MG game so far where the main character doesnt infiltrate the enemy's territory to rescue someone.
