OK, 2 questions:
1. Asked before, but do you think that they will continue Metal Gear (main cannon) after MGS4?
2. If they do continue the main cannon, how do you see it going? Will they just do small filler games on the handhelds like Portable Ops or will they do full console installments? Who will be in the game? Snake... Raiden?
Just thoughts in general.
I personally think that Kojima set it up perfect to leave the series. On the one hand he can't say "no more Metal Gear" as Konami would have the finaly say so on that. But on the other hand he making the main character too old to be worked with again. So the story after MGS4 would be hard to come up with and make it enjoyable. I, for one, do belive MGS4 to be the ending of the main cannon. I see some more smaller installments on the PSP, perhaps more fillers, but MGS4 will be the 6th and final main installment.

You know, I've never considered that. As much as Kojima has made Snake a warhorse for Sony and Konami, he has shown through this that he still has creative control over what is originally his. Excellent move there, Kojima. He's done the honorable thing and made it difficult for Konami to proceed without him. Well played.
I think more alternate-universe Metal Gear games will be made, and that's fine as long as they're fun.

The only think about the whole Old Snake move that worries me is that clip in the last trailer that shows younger Snake. If he gets cured from his condition by the end of the game, he'll be back to a normal 43-year old body. As such, they'll be able to use him again.

Or just maybe, the Young Snake we see is really another one of the octuplets from the Les Enfant Terrible project..

The young Snake is the ol' Snake playing around with the OctoCamo. Don't you just love the grin when he gets reminded by Raven due to the bird sh*t?

I'm merely trying to put pieces together, I'm not saying that's what it is for sure. I thought that up on my own, didn't hear that anywhere. Just speculating.

I wouldnt be surprised if thats the case. I mean, we've seen the Octocamo can manipulate not only his suit, but his face as well.

I was referring to the Octo Cam that Cain mentioned.

Though it may be possible, I doubt the Octocam can manipulate his face that much. Maybe it can just manipulate the color of the skin and all, but I doubt it can make him look young.
I got a feeling Snake will find a cure and be young again. Hideo said he wasnt gonna die, so he's gonna give Snake the happy ending he deserves.

Even if Snake was cured, no way in Kojima's universe's hell would he age backwards. That's just stupid. I mean c'mon. And I was just expressing a theory in a cocky sort of manner. Sorry about that.

Happy Ending = more sequals = crap series.
Snake needs to stay old or die. I vote for death as that would be very unique in the video game world.

If he dies though, you know how torn up people will be? That's maybe my number one fictional hero, I've got so much of a past with the character. I might just cry if that happens, and I've never cried over any game. It'll be heartbreaking. I think a fitting end would be for him to do like what he did after Outer Heaven and become reclusive and just go away and not come back. Have it implied that he died many years later, finally free of guilt and at ease with eradicating Metal Gear forever.

How about the game ends 1-2 years after the gameplay ends with a scene that shows and even more aged Otacon approaching a grave with flowers. Now that's an ending!!!
