Pretty interesting. I love seeing the age progression, it reminds me of who/where I was at each of those eras as well.
In a way, we're all Solid Snake. I mean, you, the player. You get introduced to the type of secrecy that surrounds world events when you're dropped into the jungle in Metal Gear to infiltrate Outer Heaven. You're green, you've never played a game like this, stealth is a new concept in gaming. Then with MG2:SS, you've been there once before, so you have a little past experience to draw on; you're still fairly green. Metal Gear Solid is when you begin to feel like you're a veteran. In MGS2 you're now a pro and you're starting to be able to teach neccessary combat survival skills to those who follow in your steps. MGS3 doesn't follow this necessary progression as much, but you're exposed to more of the harshness of battle. In MGS4 you're the hardened career soldier and there's nothing new to you that you can't handle; also, you've achieved full maturation as a person and a soldier.

That was great!
And what you said, Jackyl, was really cool. Never looked at it like that.
