My sister pretty much despises video games as cheap entertainment that's inferior to movies and literature. And she's hell bent on not giving video games a chance. When she was young she played Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, but that was also everything she played except the demo of Crash Team Racing. If my sister comes to visit, I often try to get her to play video games. It's for the most part a dead call, but hell, it's worth a try.
One time when my girlfriend was over and she was talking with my sister, I started playing Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. I was at when Eva rescues Snake by giving him a ride on her motor cycle. You know, when she says The Boss is at the lake waiting for him. At the time, Eva is revealing her black bra.
My sister stopped talking with my girlfriend and looked at the TV. Of course, she had nothing good to say. "It's obvious the game was made by men for other men", she said. At the time, I didn't know what to defend the game with, so I just said the usual, about how sophisticated the plot is, how powerful the message is and so on. As always, my sister didn't listen.
Later, a day or so, I remembered what exactly I should have said. Of course I should have mentioned Olga, and her hairy armpits.
