Does anyone know if MP3's/remixes of the MSX games' music exist? I have a disc called Snake Red Disc which has some remixes of some of the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 music. It doesn't have all of it. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a CD being sold or site that has some MP3's of them.

Yeah, see. Mad Jackyl's site has a lot of music from Metal Gear/2. But they were rips of the game. I'm more like looking for remixes like in the style of the ones from Kojima Red Disc. (and that's not a deliberate use of the word "like"  ) |

And Daniel, there are no other remixes. Here is a complete list of Official Metal Gear soundtracks (any others are fan rips/creations):
1. Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake Original Soundrack (original game music)
2. Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2 Original Soundtrack (original game music, included only in the MGS Premium Package)
3. Metal Gear => Solid Snake Red Disk (remixes of MG 1 and MG 2)
4. MGS Original Soundtrack
5. MGS2 Original Soundrack
6. MGS2 Orignal Soundrack The Other Side (more MGS2 music from the game)
7. MGS2 Substance White Disk (only in the MGS Ultimate Sorter, mostly MGS2 music repeats)
8. MGS2 Substance Black Disk (variant in the MGS Ultimate Sorter, Substance VR music and some MGS2)
9. MGS3 Original Soundtrack
10. MGS Acid and Acid 2 Original Soundtrack
11. MGS Portable Ops Original Soundtrack
The Red Disk is the only remix of the original 2 games. Now keep in mind, some of the MGS1 and MGS2 VR music is actually remixes of the MSX games.

Thanks, Arsenal Gear. But I also meant any remix MP3's, even if it is from a fan site/recreation. I was wondering if anyone knew of some.

I've heard a lot of MGS remixes, but nothing on the classic games.
BTW, the MG1/MG2 soundtrack that was in the MGS premium package does have a couple of remixes towards the end. The MG2 remix is the second opening theme (during the story briefing). It's a bit long, but the first half of it is pure gold!

You might find something of what you're looking for at the Overclocked remix site ( http://www.ocremix.org). Also, NESkimos have two Metal Gear songs that I know of, but I have those on my site as well..
As for the Japanese coming after me again, I think I'll be okay as long as I don't draw attention to myself by SUBMITTING MY SITE TO THEIR OFFICIAL CONTESTS. I'll keep them up. They come after me, I take them down, move to new hosting and put them right back up.

Sorry to bring this back, but... I wasn't able to find certain Metal Gear 2 MSX music rips at madjackyl's site. I'm especially looking for the one where you climb that 20-storey staircase to the top. Might anyone know of place with some up?

The ParaMSX emulator allows you to rip the sounds right out of the game. You can use that to record the track yourself.
