God, hurry Kojima with the new trailer because this place is DEAD and we need some discussion. Anyways, I've been thinking lately about Ocelot. We know he works for the Patriots... but is he part of the Wisemen Committee himself or just an agent? In the first MGSs, it seems like he's nothing more than an agent going around doing the Patriots' bidding. But at the end of MPO he tells the "Mastermind" he wants Big Boss to form the Patriots together with them. So this could mean Ocelot, "Mastermind", and Big Boss (if he agreed) are the founders of the Patriots. They are the first and original Patriots. So wouldnt that make Ocelot a member of the Wisemen Committee, and not just an agent? BUT, in MGS2, during the final Codec conversation betweek Raiden and JFK, JFK says that Ocelot wasnt "told the whole truth" about the S3 plan. Why wasnt he told the whole truth. If Ocelot is a Patriot, he should've known everything about the S3, but he didnt. "Wasn't told..." He wasnt told. Which means he wasnt among the members when the plan was created, he was just "told" by the Patriots about it. So, wouldnt that mean that Ocelot is not a member then, but just a mere pawn, right? Was he rejected by the "Mastermind" to become a Patriot, did he lose his status as a Patriot and got appointed as just an agent sometime in the story, or did Kojima make a mistake?

Lone ranger who sides and does whatever will help him in the end.
Or Kojima and co. just make up reasons to keep another character around.

It's a plot hole, I'm sure. This is the flaw with building the story as you go along.
When MG and MG2 were made, there was no cloning, no Les Enfants Terrible, no Ocelot, none of what MGS games talk about. And with each MGS title new stuff is added, and at time it contradicts things in the older games.
Portable Ops took a big chance with grabing at such vital info... so who knows.
