Noticed something in the latest trailer regarding RAY that you guys might or might not know already, but Im pretty sure it hasnt been brought up here.
It's not the same one from MGS2. Well, maybe it is, but it's been modified. Or maybe it's just an new model altogether. Im thinking it's the former. Let me show you why.
Now here's good ol' RAY, the original:

And here are the mass produced prototypes:
...which suck btw.
And here's MGS4 RAY:
... in all its next-generation glory.
Now, if you notice, MGS4 RAY is missing its tail. I first thought it mightve been cause it was involved in a battle earlier on in the game and it lost it, but now Im thinking thats how the model is.
The missing tail thing is one attributes the mass produced RAYs had as well. But thats not the only thing. Look at original RAY's knees, and then look at the knees of the mass produced models. Original RAY has spiked-liked knees, while mass produced models have rounded knees. Now look at the knees of MGS4 RAY. They're not like the original RAY's.
And one final thing. Original RAY had the words "Marines" on the legs right? Well the new RAY has some writing in it as well, but it's something different:
...does that say what I think it says? ;D
So what do you think? New RAY model created in "Outer Haven", or same RAY model from MGS2, with just some modifications. I think it is the same RAY model modified by Liquid throughout the years. I miss the tail though.
On another note, it's been a while since I;ve analyzed a part of a trailer. This reminded me I once said I'd post why I thought the grave Snake was visiting in one of the trailers was The Boss's grave, but never did. I'll most likely do that tomorrow.
