I like how you actually define yourself as the King of the Mountain. I still like Internet Metal Gear Czar

Well he basically IS King of the "MG Fansite" mountain since there is no challenge in sight until MGC get back up on it's feet. Till then, AG, and MGF are right where they should be, on the MG Fansite Throne.

The Snake Soup is down again, but apparently it's the host's fault.
The way things are going over there, I might just stay here.

I actually stoped caring about being the best a couple of years back. I mean, I did everything I ever wanted with a personal fansite. Right now I just keep it up as a tribute. Not just to Metal Gear, but to a project that developed a lot of my computer skills.

I think the problem with the Metal Gear community has to do with hypocracy and lack of imagination
Hypocracy: People want to see new MG games with new game play, but as Metal Gear Solid 2 showed us, they want to play as the same character all the time, and as Metal Gear Ac!d showed us, they want the same steath-based gameplay. So they want a new game where nothing changes. That's boring.
Lack of Imagination: Metal Gear Solid 4? Come on. 3 ended it perfectly, because it kept you guessing. But even the end of 3 felt a little forced. I feel like Konami's milking the series by beating a dead horse, then watering down that milk so it looks like there's still something left.

May be lack of imagination, but not lack of intelligence. MGS sells and they know it.

Well uhhhhh.........G has a point about the Hypocracy, but it wasn't that much of a lack of intelligence. See, MGS4 probably will answer our questions about MGS3, but make new questions in its place. Would Kojima use that sort of stuff on all of his MG games?
But is all of this really the point on the online MG community? That is probably what fans wanted to see in the games but the point here is the fansites. Hypocracy and Lack of imagination around the game isn't it. Its hypocracy and lack of imagination in the fansites.
The Soup: Ravi was milking The Snake Soup BIG TIME
Confidential: Legal problems. More of a hypocracy.
The Snake Hole: Niether. More of a site maintaning problem
Metal Gear Outpost: The best MG site in the universe
Planet MGS: just like The Snake Hole I guess.

But people still like it! Take The Legend of Zelda for instance.
Link has to save Princess Zelda from Ganon and keep the Triforce from falling into the hands of evil.
And people like it! I like it! And the story has stayed the same since Game 1.

The Soup: Ravi was milking The Snake Soup BIG TIMENot really. By the end of The Soup, he stopped doing updates, stopped going to the site, and pretty much stoped caring. But people still like it! Take The Legend of Zelda for instance. Link has to save Princess Zelda from Ganon and keep the Triforce from falling into the hands of evil. And people like it! I like it! And the story has stayed the same since Game 1. OK, good example, but LoZ and MG are two different genres. I guess maybe I personally just aren't just excited about Metal Gear anymore. Maybe that's my point; in MG, you can only fight terrorists/the government so much.

There are so many people who any MG game as long as it says metal gear. For example i would never buy a turn based card game!!(MG AC!D) but it says metal gear so im being lured into it because i see the name and i expect to play somthing of quality such as the MGS trillogy.

Well, how do you think Kojima got rich? Because he made the same basically the same game with some new gameplaay features and people love it! Just like Econs said. If future MGS games are going to change in gameplay, them Kojima will lose alot of money.
