My favorite childhood TV show is 20 years old today!!!! In 1985 Gummi Bears was Disney's first animated TV show. It is also the greatest. No other Disney show has ever gone 6 seasons, not Ducktales or Gargoyles. It has even surpassed some of the all time greats like X-men and Batman. It was the first Disney animated show, 6 seasons, 95 episodes, and part of the original Disney Afternoon lineup. Though I've custom made this show on DVD (Photoshop design boxes and fully animated menus), I still hope they will release it on DVD. Afterall, November 8th this year DuckTales and Chip and Dale will get a DVD release. I hope Gummies are next.

My older sister used to watch that. I remember making fun of her, cuase she had (and, still does, suprisingly) the pink one with the feather in the cap.

AG still has that little 5-year-old inside of him. I don't blame him, Gummi Bear ROCK!
But how the hell could Gummi Bears surpass Batman and X-men? That's strange. ;D

I mean they only surpassed them in the number of seasons. Though personally, the animation and story quality of the first 4 seasons of Gummi Bears is far better than either show.
BTW, a bit of trivia. The director of Gargoyles admited that Gummi Bears was the original inspiration for his show. But he made the idea of mythincal beings trying to co-exist with humans a bit darker, like Batman.
Gummies started it all!
