Well this is for AG, Jackyl and Otty. My site and my buddy MGS site have come up with an idea. In light of the traffic being sucked to TUS. My buddy site admin's thought up, we make sorta of a webring of all the good MGS related sites. Basically a network of MGS sites all on one page, just links to each of ours. I don't know how their going to do it, just I thought I would put the idea out to you guys. I came up with name for it "Outer Heaven Network Inc. Since it would be like a mother site, like Outer Heaven in MGS and were all the PMC's of it. Just let me know what you think, the idea is'nt off the ground yet so.

Dude, TUS is popular becuase it is a one-stop place for all the MG stuff. Music, Info, News, Busy Forum, Constant exlusives, etc. A webring of small sites that for the most part have the same type and amount of info is useless.

I really doubt anyone can really compeat with TUS given the facts. You got a site that's worked on by 6 people who LIVE online and in computers. Take TUS vs MGF. You got 6 MEGA nerds vs 1 part-time nerd.

They have the resources and the skills, as well as the manpower to put togther a very impressive package. A webring of B-sites would be laughable.

I look at their stuff and there are some things I like and some things I don't. I can definetly see some ideas I will try to incorporate into MGF.


Anyway, I say it's a silly idea. If you really want to compete with it then some folks need to unite their skills, abilities, and resources and make ONE good site. That's how you do it. That's how THEY did it.

I personally can't see myself being a part of that project since I'm not about to toss MGF aside after five and half years.

Good point, but they don't have everything. Media yes, but information wise, it just has the generic mirror of every other site. I personally expected more from their version 3, and I don't like the design. I don't understand why everyone raves over it. Yes it's the largest site out there for MGS. One of the largest forums, but also not one bit of originality to it. Nothing no one has ever done before. But that's just me, I'm not bashing the site or anything. I do enjoy visiting there, for first hand information. But it still in my opinion could be alot more.

EDIT: The idea did'nt mean throw your site away. Just a webring of sites, not all form one site.

This is what I like and don't like:

Like: Intros to the game pages. I myself used to have sounds on each game section but due to space issues I took it out. Jackyle would remember that.

Don't Like: The overall design. To busy and not attractive. To many game clips. Hell, what's the point of getting the game if you can watch the damn ending on their site!

Yeah, but there are people who use footage from games or anime to make AMVs and such. Im one of them.

Yeah thanks. Though I think when it comes to computer comparisons I would say it's more like 6 Otacons vs 1 Solid Snake. You can be Raiden.
