OK, I know this might seem to be something like the stupidest topic ever but anyway, here I am, sitting a bit tipsy and thinking about the animals all around the world. What do You think, what animals are your favourites, any animal in the world. I gotta say my favs are rhinos and pandas. Rhinos simply because they are awesome with their horns etc, stomping out fires ( ) and pandas simply because they are so relaxed and enjoy life and so on... so how about you?

Cats are by FAR the greatest animals on the planet. No other spcies possess everything in one perfect package like a cat. They are the ONLY animals on the planet that can be cute, graceful, beautiful, powerful, dangerous, playful, and awe-inspiring all at the same time. And the bigger they get, the more wonder they inspire. From Tabby to Tiger, the cat remains the supreme predator.
If you were to compare other animals, they seem to be by far more undbalanced. Something like a Human would have the intelligence, but lacks the physcality. Something like a rhino is all physciality and no brain. Cats, on the other had, have everything and in perfect balance. They are the peak of mamal evolution. Not to mention that many credit the great cats of the past as the reason for human development. They ruled the food chain and the only way the early human could survive was to develop mentally to compete with the felines.
Cats rule! (and dogs drool!)

I'm gonna have to go with leopards on this one, those creatures are perfect. They can drag an animal that weighs more than itself up a tree by their teeth!

Like I said, cats rule!
BTW, cougars have been known to do that as well, just not as often.

Yet another hit for the cats! ;D My favorite is the Lion. A male lion is by FAR the smartest animal on the planet. Think about it. The dude has like a dozen chicks running around getting him food. And when it's time to do the nasty he has pick! In his other free time he woops some ass on the hyenas or rival males and sleeps. You can't top that! That is THE pimp in the animal kingdom! ;D

I'll have to agree with AG about the cats. But one of my cats, Vilmurt, he's plain stupid. One time he tried to drink from my water glass like his sister usually does, but he shoved his face down too much and got water in his nose.

Not a big fan of dogs, personally. However, I have to say that out of the domestic dogs I've always liked Great Danes. They remind me of lions a lot. As for the wild ones, I do like wolves and partial to foxes.
As for the topic context, I don't see how you can put dogs over cats though. A dog is inferior to a cat in just about every way, maybe with the exception of smell. Strength, agility, vision, speed, grace, beauty...cats got them beat. Well, not in indurance I guess, cats are low on stamina.
Take a leopard or a mountain lion and an equally sized dog (150-200 lb) and compare them. You will see.

Birds are the best. I mean, they can fly! Something men will never do (without the use of technolog, that is).
If I could be an animal for one day, I'd be some type of bird for sure.
