I saw it last night and have only positive things to say about it. It's pretty good, from the opening a capella music (a tune also sung by late night street loiterers in the original Rocky, and briefly bandied about by Stallone himself in Rocky III.), to the appearances of several long forgotten characters that see new light. It really brings everything back around. The site of the old ice skating rink is revisited, Rock's first apartment where he first invited Adrian in, and it even appears Cuff and Link - his old turtles he originally bought in the first - are fully grown and living by his bedside. The training sequence is realistic as always, short and sweet. Nothing too long and contrived. The characters and dialogue are what define this movie, not the promise of a big fight. It's about learning how to live his life with self-respect in the aftermath of losing most of the things he's gained in life. Also, believe it or not, the fight itself is the most realistic fight by far and even believable (you'll have to see it to understand just exactly why though.) Paulie is absolutely hilarious, and Rocky has quite a few funny lines as well to break up the seriousness some. I would give this 3 1/2 stars out of 5.

I saw it last night as well. Good movie, for what it is. If you like Rocky, you'll like the movie. If not, it won't change your mind.
