What type of game engine does Konami use to create Metal Gear Solid games? also are there any computer programs out there that can create MG look alike games? Id like to follow up on my idea of combining MG with SF and all I mean it might take me sometime but I know I can do it, Ive even thought of putting in some voice acting.

Konami built the engine themselves. Each Metal Gear Solid title has had a completely new engine. Even though most people seem to not know it, Kojima Production re-did the entire engine from scratch before starting work on MGS3.
It's a very advanced engine, so I doubt you'll find what you're looking for. And if you did, you better have years of school and/or experience to be able to do something with the program.

Awww well, that would clash with my life plans huh? I plan on going to the Marine Corp soon but lately where I live ive been seeing this school advertising classes about creating video games but the classes take up to three years, (They cram 4 years into three actually) and ive thought about it but the USMC has been my calling for along time. But then again im sure there are programs out there that can make it SOMEWHAT easy to create a Metal Gear Solid like game. And about the engine that Konami uses its different in terms of environment but character models are pretty much the same.
