What's up with the music? That isn't exactly entertainment. The music I guess is supposed to add an epic feel? Well, the video itself was meant as educational material I think. Whoever added the music is a little sicko.

I liked the music! It is an epic situation! I mean, how many animals have been known to take down an elephant? That's a big deal, and it's hardly ever been recorded. I loved it!
This is why the Lion is the king of the beasts!

A nice vid nevertheless.

Whats so great about this video? It's several lions against ONE elephant. Of course they're gonna take it down. Just like cavemen were able to take down mammoths, and other great animals: by attacking in packs.

There is a big difference. Lions don't have spears and rocks. Regardless of how many there are, it's a huge accomplishemnt! How many other animals you know of that can bring down an elephant?

Not to mention how the male lion in the beginning wasn't backing away from Bull Elephants. Amazing! Truly king of the beasts. Who else would stand their ground against a charging elephant?!

My obsession with Lions has nothing to do with this.
Dude, have you ever seen anyone actually hunt an elephant? Not human that is. Now have you ever seen anyone actually bring one down? This is an amazing display of hunting abilitity and determination.

lmao well one those lions wouldnt attack an elephant unless something was wrong with the elephant, TWO yes those lions attacked in a pack do you think they would attack the elephant if it was with its pack?? hmmm I dont think so, THREE the only reason why that lion didnt back down from the elephant in the beggining was because he had his pack with him, plain and simple I dont consider lions to be the king of the jungle. Also...ive seen tigers tear lions apart in some really old videos and ive seen f...ckin Zebras take down lions to believe it or not.

1. A lion would not attack an Elephant by himself, that would be dumb! Animals do things to survive, not show off. Kids like you wouldn't understand though. This video shows just how desperate the pride was to get food. 2. They separate one from the heard, that's how they hunt. Read up a bit on lions and they way they bring prey down and what the overall strategy is before you run you mouth. 3. Oh you DON'T want to start Lion vs Tiger sh*t with me, TRUST ME!!! You show me ONE footage of the tiger actually WINNING the fight, it does not exist! The 1920 pit fight is the ONLY complete lion vs tiger fight in existance with the tiger ending up dead. In all other fights the tiger either runs off or no conclusive end is achieved. Trust me Fox, I will open a barrel of whoop ass on you in this debated. I've been into cats for over 2 decades and have been reading just about anything I can get my hands on about them since 5th grade. YOU WILL LOSE if you test me in this field! Lion kills Tiger: www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0GB8uo_YuwTiger runs off: www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3tYWJ_Xx60Fight interupted, but was even: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRnVfWnTezETiger runs off, again: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOSxVzC6C8QThe part I hate is all the Tiger fanboys that either edit out parts of the fight where the lion is winning or, when the tiger is on the loosing end, claim that's it was a tigress...

well, everyone has their own oppinion. Anyway, the lions attacked in a pack, and anyway 1 lion vs 1 elephant, the lion would've been minced meat I PREDICT. so anyway, no reason to fight. A pack of lions killed one elephant 'yay' and yes, lions are the king predators. which is awesome. cool for lions but 1 on 1 lion dies!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but who the hell is talking about 1 on 1? There are a lot of things that can't happen 1 on 1, that's not the point here.
The point here was that an elephant being brought down by anyone besides a human has never been filmed, or seen for that matter.
Predators hunt things that would be the easiest and least risky to get. Reason being is injury = starvation. So large and dangerous prey is usually avoided. So a video like this is a jewel because of how rare it is.
I personally would love to see footage of a rhino takedown. That's the only one I have not seen the Lions do yet. I've seen them take down all major pray in Africa:
Zebra Wilderbeast Giraffe Cape Buffalo Hippo Elephant
All is left is Crocodile and Rhino. And I'm sure it has happened, so I'll look forward to the videos!

Oh wow, I have no memory of writing that previous message, which is awesome.
But yeah you're right, no one said anything about 1 on 1.
