When I look at the main games of the series I, for some reason, seem to associate the fell of the games with the Dragon Ball series. MG & MG2 = Dragon Ball: The beginning, everything is on a relatively small scale by comparison to where each series is heading. MGS, MGS2, & MGS3 = Dragon Ball Z: The Big one and my far the most popular. MGS4 = Dragon Ball GT: The final culmination to wrap it all up.

There is something wrong with that. Dragon Ball may no be the most popular, but it's the BEST out of all three. And both MGS4 and GT are the final parts, but MGS4 is gonna rock, while GT was a piece of sh*t that shouldnt have existed.

I don't think I'm looking to far into it. It's just a feeling I get... more of a vibe.

Ah man...I hate this analogy. I hate everything about it. MGS and Dragon Ball are just...planets apart. I don't like them being in the same sentence together, even.

No, not like Snake vs. Batman (hypothetically who would win considering their training, what they've accomplished, etc.). I could never like the Dragon Ball series, to me it was 30 minutes of grunting, straining and closeups of characters grimacing. They'd build up these fights as if they were something spectacular. But there was never any limits. There was *always* someone or something even stronger. I never watched more than three episodes and pieces of other ones, but this is what I got from the series. Can't beat the guy? Power up! Then power up and up and up and...man, way to draw out a series by dangling the power up carrot in front of a character's nose. There was just no end.
I've digressed from my point, so the thing I'll conclude with is that Dragon Ball has always seemed like an empty shell with nothing to rely on but mysticism. I feel it's comparing apples and oranges. While they are vaguely similar in that both series have ran a long time, the comparison really ends there because Metal Gear Solid has depth.

Well, that was really the only comparison I was making. I wasn't actually comparing the crative value of each one. I merely pointed out that both series have a similar stage division. Early start (low scale), Big Middle (the peak of hype), and a Closing to wrap things up.

No...NONONONO......I agree with Mad Jackyl, you cant put these two series' in the same sentence. DBZ was fun to watch as a kid but now looking back, haha its nothing now there are better series' to compare MGS to like maybe the GodFather?

I still don't think you guys got it... I'm not comparing the series themselves but more like the the series stucture. Both have the same overall series structure. Like it or not.
