I was reading the Hello?!!!!!-thread in which Liquiduz said MGF only provided what Wikipedia provides and came up with something.
See, AG is a great thinker and I love it when he analyzes Metal Gear, like its evolution and stuff. Couldn't you create sort of a blog and write down Metal Gear-related thoughts? It would be great reading I bet.
And you say you don't get enough visitors, right? Have you considered changing hoster? I don't know that many great ones, but freewebs is nearly add-less (at least there's no pop-up) except for a tiny bar at the top. You get plenty of space and you can either upload an already created site or use their design-templates. Also, it does offer the possibility to include a blog. I've tried it out and the blog tool is actually really good.
Most importantly though, it shows up on search engines.
Just making suggestions here, so be gentle.

I've thought of that before, but there a few things that hold be me back on that:
1. My site does show up on search engines, but not high enough. For example, if you were to do a Yahoo search on "Metal Gear", MGF would come up like #89. Hell, the visits would get higher if I can just put it up on the first page of the results. I also can't seem to find a Google site submission.
2. I'm not really site driven anymore. I barely have the desire to update the new games. I really don't see myself at this stage adding some new massive changes to the site, like an encyclopedia or something. I've been playing around with the site for 6 years, I'm kinda over the hype. I spend most of my time doing real art nowdays, painting and drawing. So, more space won't actually mean more content. I have little desire to bury myself in massive site building.
Basically, the thing that I want the most is to get MGF to show up higher on the search engines. There's gotta be a way to get that done.

Personally, I think MGF is great for what it is. A superb and informative introduction to the Metal Gear-franchise that doesn't ruin the game experience at all. On top of that, it is the best looking site ever, all categories. It's like fine art. I mean, I've read all there is to read on the site, but I still visit sometimes to check out how you use images to present everything. But anyways... So you have no interest in starting a blog either?

I thought about that, but I really don't know if I would actually use it. Besides, there's this place. I can always make a separte forum section just for that. In fact, at one point I did. It never really took off.

I was just thinking that if other people saw your writing, they might be interested in joining MGF to be able to discuss.

I didn't know that you hadn't submitted your site to Google. I went ahead and looked it up for you. www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurlGo to this link and submit your site information. I'd do it for both the site and the board.

I don't think I need a new host. I mean, I'm not even using the full perameters of the one I have now. I need advertising, that's the key.
I did sumit every MGF page to google though! ;D
