Lose the helmet and the things around the thighs, and you got an MGSish suit.

Well, military does use entertainment as the source for ideas.

Very "hollywoodish".
I've seen this suit on the Discovery Ch many times with other future suits.
Well it's a step up then someone trying to sell a custom Majoirn(sp) Armor suit on Ebay, saying it's legit hi-tech.

well although hi-tech suits are the way for the future infantry man....I say we should go a step further and begin development of actual mobile suits, Gundam Wing like mobile suits....imagine how effective lets say....(For whoever used to watch Gundam Wing) an Aeris mobile suit would be to guard an entire city block if not a squad of mobile suits that can guard an entire town!!! lets compare you need atleast an entire convoy to patrol just a few city blocks....thats about 40 to 60 men.. a mobile suit about 30 feet high could do the same job and even more....atleast thats how I see it, oh ontop of that these new suits could be made for the pilots of these mobile suits so that way they can handle the intense G forces that would come with piloting such a monster...and also imagine the intimidation factor on the enemy, you would probably need a tank or a massive barrage of RPG's to take down one of these steel beasts and does the enemy field tanks? NO and do they have multitudes of people brandishing RPG's? I doubt it so I think we should look towards mobile suits instead of just improving the infantry man's chances on the ground.....ok just one of my many strange rants.

I'm not trying to put you down in any way, but if we stepped it up, so would the world. . . . unless everyone on this forum helped contribute and we secretly made an army of mechs and take over the world. You know you want to.

The U.S is the only country that could fund and research such an ambitious project, even China and the E.U would have trouble trying to start up such a project EVEN IF THEY HAD THE MONEY!!!! They dont have companies like ours such as Boeing, Northropp Grumman, or DARPA. It is possible and I say we should take that step further and actually go for it. oh yeah.....and I want to take over the world with my very own mobile suit bLaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHAziopfhcspofjheifhgeafigheoguifdeg
