Alright guys, this may seem kinda morbid to you but it's really important to me. A friend of mine was brutally murdered by her boyfriend last year and I wasn't able to pay my final respects. I've been searching the internet for a place to find out where she might be buried since it doesn't seem to be in my town. Hopin that you guys might have an idea. Been searching the internet for awhile now. I just can't find anything. Be very appreciative if you could help me out.....

Well, have you tried to contact the parents? I mean, that's the most logical way to go about it.

Yeah, no luck unfortunantly. Looks like they left the area almost immediately afterwards. So I've been SOL for awhile. It's really hard to know about this stuff and not know where to go.

Believe it or not, I could recommend trying the Ogrish.net forums. Knowing how those guys are, they will surelly know were to ask for for graveyards and such.

If you know the county she lived in, you can usually find some sort of notice of death listed with the county register. Courthouses and libraries are a good place to find this information. Sometimes they list where the deceased will be buried also. Also, it would be worthwhile asking at your local library if they have records of last year's newspapers, preferably on microfiche. You should know the approximate week and month in which she died and with that info, search the microfiche records for obituary notices. Often they mention what funeral home her services were being held at. The funeral homes usually work in collusion with the cemetaries and keep records of that sort of thing.

Yeah, checked it out. Found the funeral home, contacted them, no answer yet though. Checked the obituary but no luck. Just where the service had been held. Actually saw it about three days after it had happened, the service not the incident. Heard about her murder the morning after. Such a sweet girl. She was the first friend I had in high school. And she was so smart and pretty. I had the biggest crush on her. She had a boyfriend though, always hoped that she'd break up with him. Never did though. She'd always call me by my last name. It was so awesome, like a pet name really. My football buddies called me by it too, but that was how we recognized each other. Lost contact with her after we graduated. Tried looking her up but no luck. Found out she was still in town after it happened. Even found out she was working with my stepmother in the local hospital. I miss her, and never got to tell her I cared. That I cared alot.
