New HDTV!!! And some PS3 stuff.

So, the day after Thanksgiving... yeah, I went out and got me an HDTV! A 42" LG 1080p! Nice!

First of all, WOW about the size!

I also got the better output cable for my PS3... and I tell you, DAMN! The 1080p output... f...ck, it's the ONLY way to watch!

Now on to the gaming side ofit. I compared MGS1, MGS2, and MGS3 when played on the roginal consoles (hooked up to the new TV) vs those games played on the PS3 (hooked up to the new TV). There is a drastic difference! Fact is, the PS3 output is far greater. MGS1-3 look better played on the PS3 than they do on the original consoles in terms of clarity, sharpness, and even color.

Now I'm glad I went ahead and got the original 60 GB PS3. The PS1 and PS2 games do look better on it now that I have the proper HDTV and appropriate cables.

Anyway, back to my home theater now! ;D
