I have no choise BUT Dail-Up. It's that or pay thousands of dollars to get a DSL or Cable brought out to my place (money which my parents will not pay).

I'm not kidding man, I've looked into it. They told me that I had two choises:
Pay a LARGE ammount of money to get decent internet via cable, DSL, or anything fast. It would take about a week to run the cables and whatnot to my house.
...or...
Get a ISP (I have Juno/Net Zero) and wait for any housing devolupments to come, then jack it from them. It would take a while wait to get it, but it would save me several hudread dollars.
Well, guess which I (as in my parents) chose. The only good news is that they are building across the street/dirt road/farm access road/dirt line called a road/whatever the hell you want to call it. So, my waiting is finaly starting to pay off.

Far enough where the labor to get cable internet to that house would be excuciatingly hard. Not all places are prepared for such a thing.

Sorry to revive this 'old' topic. I got Doom 3 today. It's nice action. A few parts scared the crap out of me, like one place where just a corpse fell down from some ledge.  The shotgun is waaaaaay too ineffective. Anyone agree? I've heard of this mod that makes the shotgun more powerfull, so I think i'll try that out someday. |

WTf are you talking about the shotgun being ineffective?!
thats like the best gun to uise against imps and armed zombies.
This game is killer. The deathmatch sucks but the online co-op is unbelieveable!

I'm telling you the shotgun sucks!! It should be much more effective against the normal zombies and stuff, kill in one shot maybe. I got the mod that raises the shotguns power and fire rate too i think. It also puts the flashlight in all the weapons and stuff. Now the shotgun is fine.  |

Then you just must sucks, in mid range, one shot will take down an imp.
Are you playing the PC version?
I'm on the X-Box version so it may have been modded for X-Box.

Yeah, I'm playing the PC version. The shotgun doesn't kill an imp from one shot from mid range.
