I used this link when mine stopped reading discs broke 2 times, helps a great deal and easy to do, just be careful if you use this site nyje.chaosnet.org/PS2/PS Not sure if this would work for the newer thin PS2 models |

lol yea, when it started screwing up on me, i thought i was gonna be out 150 bucks = / but since i got this i have no worries, if you can patience you shouldnt have any trouble

Ever tried just opening it and cleaning the lens with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol? Works for me and everyone I've known who have tried this.
