Smart. The PS2 is still a good machine, with a great library of games. The lower price tag may not keep them in the lead, but still in the game. And an unopposed PS3 launch will kill Xbox 360.

Okay, maybe Sony is waiting for all the games to finish develop and produce. Then they release the PS3 with a motherlode of games, with MGS4 a possible killer app (it is with me ;D), and takes a huge s**t on the Xbox360 and Revolution which won't have as many games!

This is a good move. Like Black Snake said, it gives game companies a lot more time to work on their launch releases. And I can wait till 2007 real easy, there are plenty of new games that are coming out for the PS2 that will keep me busy on 2006.  |

Yes it would be a good move if done like that indeed, it would be great picking up PS3 with MGS4 the first day of release.

If it works out cheaper it doesnt bother me.
I really wanna play MGS3 on the PS3 because it would be so much smoother.

i really hope this isnt the case, i mean MGS4 looks better then the 360's entire line up, and is it me or, 360 looks no different then xbox1 graphically, maybe its called the 360 because it spins around and goes back to where it started, no where  |

<shameless self promotion> The Xbox 360 sucks</shameless self promotion> Just like with Twilight Princess, I don't care how long it takes for them to come out with the PS3. I'll let them take as much time as they need to make it perfect. Rushed projects never live up to their full potentials. Just look at Fable and Half-Life 2. |

What do you mean "If it's for Gamecube"? It's been announced as a Gamecube title, it's going on Gamecube. You think they're just gonna say "Ooops! Looks like it's actually for our next-gen console! Guess you have to buy one of those!" like Microsoft did with the new Perfect Dark?
