It looks exactly as the PS2 controller, no boomerang. And Im disappointed in it, they tried to copy Nintendo and they miserably failed. Over all, I was disappointed in the whole Sony conference, they sucked big time.

Did you see it? They screwed up big time with that press con and if they don't buck there ideas up for the rest of E3 there going to lose alot in the press afterwards. You have no idea how much negative feedback this is getting, the Gamespot forums are literally flooded with angry threads. They showed a demo reel of games, and about only two looked good. About the controller, they messed with it to try and copy Nintendo, but failed. Trying to conrol a future styled jet with the angle of a pad is never going to work. If you want to fly a jet without a pad, buy a damn joystick lol. Keep things simple XD Graphics on the PS3 looked lower then the Xbox360 there, but its early so who knows. Im really really not wow'ed at all with this console. I expected alot better and see such a waste of time and a bad console (so far). The controller part was is when they hit rock bottom. They went from the boomerang thing to THAT? They saw the Wii controller and they're like.. "Oh great... back to the drawing board." It doesnt seem like it will work nearly as well because if you weild your PS2 controller like you would if it was capable of motion sensing it will only be comfortable really for racing type games anything else it will be awkward to use it like that. its pretty pathetic when you think about it. IGN just put the new controller in its place. revolution.ign.com/articles/705/705870p1.htmlJokes are already out. I have a feeling Nintendo are really going to show Sony how to pull off "orignal" ideas. Also, two versions of the PS3? To make things worse, the cheaper version, the 20 gig one, won't have Memory Stick, SD or Compact Flash reading capability or WiFi support, and appears that rumble doesn't appear to be included with the new six axis sensing controller. It's just like the Xbox 360, people hated the cheaper version which contained only the Core cause it didn't come with a hard drive and other features, quickly dubbing it the "tard pack." PS3 is headed down the same road. Sony should of just stuck to the numbers and used there little CG rubbish to get along.

I really think thats gay. Like you cant deactivate the vibration in games that require the motion sensing.
What really burns me IS HOW THEY HAVE USED THE SAME f...ckING DESIGN SINCE PS1!!!!! ITS REALLY GAY AND MAKES THE CONSOLE LOOK sh*t!

What's wrong with the design of the current dual shock? I think it's the best controller around, so why change a winning concept. Yeah okay, it's a shame the rumble feature is taken out, but the motion sensor thing rocks! So what they stole it from Nintendo?! If it works, it works, and it does, so it's gonna rock. I can hardly wait!

Can we have an actual discussion instead of using "gay" in every other sentance?
The new controller looks fine. The motion sensored controller probably wasn't "stolen".
They wouldn't just throw it in to keep up with Nintendo. When has Sony ever tried to keep up with Nintendo?
I love the new controller and can't wait to buy the 599$ version when it comes out.
PS3 isn't as good as 360? Are you kidding me? The graphics blow away Xbox360.

PS2------------------------>PS3 Holy sh*t, a bunch of improvements, including sleeker shape DS 2 Control-------------------------> DS 3 Control LOOKS THE SAME! No improvements whatsoever. And Liqiuduz, that image was photoshopped by a bunch of Wii fanboys.

I just dont like how boring the PS3 controller is especially the black version it remindes me of my ps2 which is god knows how many years old. I will admit that i love the layout of the controller. But they should at least change the design a little bit.

But they should at least change the design a little bit. Why? So all the damn Sony fanboys go, "ZOMG, WHY DID THEY CHANGE IT? THE ORIGINAL WAS SO 1337!" like the last time? Sony did change it, but it got bad feedback, so they just decided to change it back to the original, more simpler design.
