That HALO 3 trailer was defenetly pre-rendered.
I think its a load of sh*t. We wont be seeing halo 3 untill 2008 or late 2007.

I'm really not impressed. It's in fact just one big macho shot of Master Chief... The only good thing about the trailer is the music. And graphically it's certainly not better then PS3. MGS4 looks better.

Okay, I've thought it over a little, and even if Halo 2 was finished, Halo 3 would still be the SAME THING. Even if you could predict this at the end of Halo 2, Halo 3 would still have a massive invasion. Predicting that theres not gonna be Macho v. Aliens in Halo 3 is like predicting there's not gonna be Sneaking in MGS4. Your gonna get the same material, with better graphics, even if the last game would have finished.

Why would anyone hate this game? My only gripe with it is the hype it's getting as the best thing ever. That's complete nonsense. First, Metal Gear 1 had better plot lines than the whole Halo "saga". And two, graphically it is NOT the most amazing game. If you compare the details in MGS2 with Halo 1 and MGS3 with Halo 2, you will see that Halo LAGS!!!
It's a great shooter, no discussion there. But it doesn't not deserve the hype it gets as it's not a technical masterpiece, not in gameplay, not in graphics, and certainly not in originality.

Gameplay is unlike any other I have played.
The online is what Halo is all about now. Mastering minor moves is vital to winning. Thus bringing forth user customability.

Now Splinter Cell and MGS4, thats a valid comparison. And it is getting all this hype as the best thing ever for the Xbox, just like MGS4 is getting all the hype as the best thing ever for the MGS4. It's just the exact thing. And all that talk saying HALO is better than MGS, or MGS is better than HALO, is fanboy talk, nothing more. SO dont pay attention to those Xbox fanboys praising HALO like its a god, but also dont think of MGS4 as the best game ever or something, cause it's not. A true gamer is able to admit that. |

Not true. Looking at the Metal Gear series, the games take each console to pretty much the max. And the level of originality and detail is unmached. It's not about just which looks better. Metal Gear, say MGS4 has a higher level of craftsmanship invested in it. I'm not comparing a shooter to a stealth game. I'm comparing the details and worksmanship of one game to the other.

Well, without comparing their genre, I'll say HALO is better. After all, HALO and HALO has sold over 20 million units worldwide. And the MGS trilogy is barely winning by about 3 million, and it's three games instead of two. (of course if you count the first MG games, and all the spin-offs, Metal Gear would win, but if HALO had that many games released as well, MG would be left behind). I know you're all saying "who cares if HALO has sold more," but numbers speak for themselves, and you know it.
Also, the fact that more game critics speak more highly of HALO is more proof.
