I know some of you play more than action games, and there's few mentions of RPG's on the board, so let's take the time now to talk about them. What are your favorites and why? Take time to elaborate.
Me, I just started playing Final Fantasy X for the first time last week. I'm only about 6 hours into it but enjoying it more than 8 or 9 at this point. Not as bad as I thought it would be thus far!
My favorites are: Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy VII and Suikoden I and II. I also like Chrono Cross and have gotten pretty far in it, though I've never beaten it. Have any of you ever played Suikoden I or II?

I haven't played Suikoden I or II, but some friend talked me into buying the newest Suikoden, though I haven't done so yet.
The only RPG I own are Kingdom Hearts and I'll buy Kingdom Hearts 2 soon. I owned Final Fantasy 7 years ago, but sold it because I hate "my turn your turn"-fighting. I thought I'd give it another chance in 2003 or something so I borrowed Final Fantasy X, but gave up really quick. But I will buy Final Fantasy XII (the newest that is, if I messed up with the numbers). That game looks awsome.

Final Fantasy VII, Crono Cross, Vagrant Stories. My favs.
Chrono Trigger was also good, but I never got around to beating either. Dragon Quest VIII is pretty damn awesome too, I just got it last month. Pretty addictive.
I got FFXII also the day it came out. I love it. It can easily become one of my top three games ever... but I will hold that judgement until I've beaten the game.

Final Fantasy 7. I love the story so much.
Brave Fencer Musashi.
SaGa Frontier. It has its charm.
TLoZ. Not really a RPG but meh.
OH!
Threads of Fate.
Secret of Mana!

I got Dragon Quest VIII and I hate it. The bosses require absolutely no strategy at all. Basically you just have to level up and get gear. Nothing is that hard to figure out. I've put 72 hours into this game tricking myself into thinking it was good, but in retrospect, it was just plain f...cking terrible.

KOTOR. The only game on the Xbox besides Halo thats worth getting. I had 70+ Game Hours on that bugger. I love that game, and I will still be playing it even after the Wii is released.
