Don't you guys have any new games you can post about?
Look, if there are favorites that several of you really like, I can make a sub board here just for that title.

I've been pretty hooked on Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven. Pretty ninjicular, I'm almost finished with it. After that, I'll probably finish MGS3 again. After that...well, I'd like to play RE:4 again.

I was just hoping to get some discussions going on other games. I'm not a big gamer, but I though some of you guys maybe.

Well, I've just bought my 64th PS2 title. Well, if I hadn't sold some of the old ones, I would have more, but still, it's pretty cool. I'm going to make myself a video game library when I get old. I only have two games for PSP though (not counting those I got from work). I've been buying PS1 games lately, some really good ones. Thrasher Skate and Destroy, Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix, and In Cold Blood.

Last game I've played is FFXII. Where I left off, I was 57 hours into the game and still no end in sight. >.< I wonder how long it is... hmm... but yeah, when I have the time, that's the only game I'll be playing. Easily PS2's game of the year, and I like it a lot better than any MGS I've played.

Just personal taste, the gameplay is more enjoyable for me.

Its impossble to compare MGS with FF in terms of gameplay and game design, since both are COMPLETELY different genres. One is stealth/action and the other is RPG. Im just more into RPG games than any other game genre, that's why I like FFXII better than MGS, simple as that. If I liked the stealth genre better, i'd be telling a different story right now.
As for overall presentation, it's kinda tied. MGS has been great with storyline and all, but FFXII has got me hooked on like I've never been hooked on before. Too bad I dont have time to play it like in the old days when I didnt have to juggle both school and work (>.<), if not I'd be playing a lot more.
Hopefully, once MGS4 is out, it will bring back my MGS interest I had a while back.

It's hard to stay obsessed with the game once you've done everything in it. I used to LIVE MGS1 and MGS2... now... I just play them once in a while for nastalgia.

That's the primary reason why I'm getting the PS3... in fact, SADLY, it is also the only one as well. I'm sure I'll pick up a few other titles for the PS3 as well, but I just don't see any other 'must-have' or 'can't live without it' types of games.
I'm with you on the whole getting over video games. Even though I still play very often, it's usually quick WWE Wrestling games and some Metal Gear nastalgia. I'm downloaded some Nintendo and Genesis emulators, so I've played a few old school titles... but that's about it.
Though I still see this year as a rather expensive one in terms of games:
* Rocky Balboa (PSP) * Metal Gear Solid 2 Digital Novel (PSP) * Metal Gear Solid 2 Portable Ops (PSP) * PlayStation 3 * Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots (PS3) * MGS4 (and maybe MPO2) memorabilia * Smackdown vs Raw 2008 (PS3) - MAYBE!!! Depends on the roster.
So, it'll be still be a very pricy year. But I'm hoping that Metal Gear will come to an end and I won't have to spend money on it anymore. I look forward to ending my collection.
