Does anyone know how to put custom songs into GH2? Or at least point me in the direction of a good guide that explains how to. Ive seen a lot of vids on youtube of people putting in their own customs songs and I really wanna do that. Thanks in advance!

www.scorehero.comThis site not only has top scores for the game all over the world, but has forums where you can learn what you need to do to get custom songs on GHII. anomaly, I'm not sure about this, but I think it's exactly what I'm doing with my Wii right now. I put a mod chip into my Wii (which is definetly not illegal), ran a boot disk, got a driver and some software on the internet for making .iso files from the original game, and now I can play copied games for my Wii. (not illegal either). I'm thinking that your probably gonna have to open your PS2 up and put a mod chip in there, and do some other stuff. But as for actually modifying the game so that the custom songs will be there is beyond me. I held back on the custom songs, because of the upcoming release of GHIII and Rock Band. Good luck. Short for Guitar Hero II, the second game in the ever so popular series of games where you can exceed at plastic guitar where you fail real guitar, or exceed at both. I prefer playing real guitar, since I play it way better than I play Guitar Hero, which is really good.

Well, I dont think you can PUT your own songs into the PS2 game, but I've heard of this game for the computer, that is like GH but for the pc, and you can put your own songs into it. You'll need this adapter to fit the GH-controller into your computer. I'll post some more info when I get some.

Ah thanks Black Snake.
I looked around and yes you can do it for the PS2 version as well. But you need a modded PS2, just like Black Snake said.
What you do is burn the original game into your computer and use something GHex to actually put the song into the burned game in your PC. Then you burn that file on a blank DVD like you'd do with any other burned game. And the PS2 needs to be modded so you can actually play these burned DVDs. Im gonna need to look around for a fairly cheap mod chip then.
Thanks guys.

Oh I learned that the game Frets on Fire is like GH, for the computer, and you can use your keyboard to play, or plug in your GH-controller.
Also, I had my PS2 modded a few years ago and man have I saved money with it. It's totally worth it. Or atleast was years back, when there still was loads of games coming out.

You have to open up the PS2 and weld a chip into one of the circuit boards... I believe its pretty complicated, that's why I sent mine to be modded at some dude.

We got most of our mod stuff, including our modchip off of www.newegg.com. I've opened up my PS2 before. It's not that hard, far less complicated then opening up the Wii. Putting the chip in isn't as complicated as it seems (at least for the Wii once you open it up), but for new Wiis, they cut three legs off of one of the main chips in the Wii console, so that even if you put the mod chip into the Wii, it wouldn't read the burned disks. However, if you really want to super mod your console, like my dad's friend did, he welded the three legs onto the chip and got the mod chip to work (a process that I watched myself, and was happy that I didn't have to do it with my Wii.) anomaly, unless you have prior experience with computer electronics, you might not want to do it yourself (unless you are willing to buy a new PS2). If you have a friend that knows how this stuff works, ask him.

If you have a friend that knows how this stuff works, ask him. In the original PS2, not the flat one, I believe there was this wire connected to the covers of the console, most people broke the wire when they opened their PS2 up, took out the screws then just pulled the covers off. Anyway my modchip is the Matrix Infinity chip, and I think it has like 15 points to weld. Way back in the good old ps1 times my dad welded a modchip into my console. It worked for a while, then broke the whole console, lol. Then I got a new ps and a mod module, which you put into the back of the console, it was a neat thing, got you gameshark stuff on it too. I doubt you are interested in some dude welding modchips way over here at Finland.. ;D
