I just found this out! I was replaying Twin Snakes to show my girlfriend how stupid some parts of the game are. So, I was showing that dumb scene were Liquid shoots down the satelite and a beam flies at Snake. Instead of dodging Snake uses a grenade in a Matrix-like move. But more to the point. After the scene, I wanted to kill off Snake to load another save point, so I just jumped off the roof... but NO Continue screen!!!
Instead, Snake was hanging off the side of the building! And I realized that he can do the drop-and-grab-on manuever from MGS2, all the way down the tower! No rope needed and it's fast! Try it!

LOL, you dropped all the way down? I'm almost at the towers, can't wait to try this out.

Times like this I always encourage people to do what I do. Have memory cards set aside with MG date on them, EVERY section of the game. It helps when something new comes up.

Well, I never find the damn rope, so I always have to hang off and do the drop-grab sh*t.

The rope is in the hallway right before the guards chase you up the tower.

How do you not find the rope? The drop option wasn't in MGS1 and you beat that game? How did you get around that in the original?

No I meant in TTS. I always find the rope in MGS1 for the PS, but I NEVER find it in TTS. I say to myself, this is supposed to be a damn remake, so where is the f...cking rope? But since the guards chase me, I just said f...ck it and went up the tower, using the stun grenades (which, while that method works well in MGS1 for the PS, it has the effective equality of=sh*t in TTS).

But the item is in the same spot in TTS as it was in the original MGS.

I don't think I'll ever buy TTS, or even try it out for that matter.
