I've been playing for an hour or so and I completely love it. I never got a chance to play Metal Gear online in Subsistence or Portable Ops, so maybe it's not any different, what do I know? But I still think it's a kick ass game. Have you you played it, and if so, what did you think about it? The skills I picked was Sniper, Knife, CQC and faster movement, if anyone's interested.  What's so great about MGO is that even if there are people who are playing it "wrong", as in running and gunning, you could still play it like a stealth game and still do very good. In fact, I died very few times as opposed to those who were just going at it as Rambo wannabes. |

I won't be able to give it a try until tomorrow. I'm at work right now, having a family dinner event in the evening, and helping friends move tomorrow morning. So I won't be online. But after tomorrow, look for MG_Forever-5 ;D
On a side note, let's get back to using the MGO board.

I just played for about an hour; I'm gonna call it.
Best. Online. Ever.
Teamwork is so enforced it's crazy. 99.9% of the time I was walking around with someone else. Most of the time we went in groups, using voice commands along the way like when we got into the tunnel system in BASE (map), we went "Clear!", went up, "Hold up!" checked our corners, "Clear!" - "C'mon!" and went up. It all felt really natural to be going on like this.
Hell of a way to play a game when in almost every situation there's a buddy behind you covering you. Seriously, this online is crazy.
I may've been pissed at Konami for it's setup, but so far in-game it's been brilliant and my fears of lag (so far) extinguished. It's really an amazing experience so far, the teamwork is outstanding. Words cannot describe.

One day in the future I shall have a PS3 and MGO and you will be granted a chance at redemption ;D Solidest used to be a comrade of mine, he can attest to my prowess if he was still around. |

Well, I finally got a change to play it... really, same old sh*t only with new graphics. Yes, the MGS4 controlls are sweet and I plan on really getting them down. But as for the actual MGO... don't care for it. Much like the old one, it's run and gun. What's worse is you really have to aim at the person to see if it's one of your guys! By the time I do, someone shoots from the back.
In any case, the name is A.G. in the game. If you see me in there, go for it. But I won't be playing it much. I'll proably just stick with the Solo Training to get used to the controlls.

Aaawww but thats the fun of the game A.G, you've got to be quick witted, I suggest you take cover more often, I mean I havent been able to play MGO2 yet but I can imagine it man and I have alot of experience with third-person online and first-person online shooters, and thats usually the trick to surviving man, TAKE COVER!!!!

mgo was pretty cool. its only run and gun if you play with the cod4 fags otherwise it can be stealthy moar so than mgs3:s.
