Actually, it's far from perfect (Halo 3 syndrome, apparently). I found the next after a short play:
No Tattoos No Hairstyles No Turf Wars No Burglaries No Training to make character fitter No overindulgence to make character fatter No stats level up No Planes No bicycles No properties purchasing No bank robberies No player input negative/ positive responses to NPCs Less outfits No countryside areas No Millitary Smaller world No parachutes

So... you want me to play the game so that you join the thread? I'm not planning on buying this title. $60 on a game I have no interest in... not gonna happen.

Yes, you do have that factor. But, games like that should not be made. Why? Because you are glorifing things that are NOT GOOD! Just because we CAN make something does not mean we SHOULD. And MGS glorifies stealth killing. Yeah... (Not that I'm complaining). In any case, GTA has always been pretty "bleh" on my map. Sure it's fun (I remember being quite adicted to one of the PSP versions), but only because I wanted to see what the hell was going to happen to the guy. I think that over-analizing things is not a good thing to do. If you find a game and you think it's fun, play it. If you don't, then DON'T play it (Uncharted, as a recent example). People have different tastes, and suddenly stating which tastes are good and which ones are bad is pretty darn pointless... I mean, just look at Jack Thompson. In any case (and keeping this thing on topic), I couldn't care any less about reviews. Ever since the great 3D CV debacle, and (more recently) the Halo-reviews crapfest, I stopped caring. The only fair Halo review I ever heard was Yahtzee's, actually. I'll summarize it with one phrase "Bioshock is better" Yeah uuhhh the kids who have played GTA and then get ideas about going out and creating mayhem and all well I BET YOU ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD, that if they played MGS just as much they didnt have any balls to ante up and do the stuff that you do in any of the MGS games right? Like id like to hear of some kid ante up and go shoot it out at some military base, see how quick his f...ck ass gets lit up...oh no see thats the thing these kids out and do stupid sh*t and are able to blame it on GTA (Because it borders on reality in a way everyday life and so on)as a bad influence, which is complete bullsh*t. Even when I was a kid and played the first MGS I was like "WHOA DUDE I CAN BE SOLID SNAKE ALL I NEED IS A FRIGGIN FAMAS AND A f...ckIN BANDANA AND I CAN HAVE INFINITE f...ckIN AMMO!!" well reality set in pretty quick and I didnt do anything of the like.....I had to wait until I was 21 like I am now so I could purchase "Stuff" ANYWAY MY POINT IS!! GTA4 and the rest of the series really is mindless bullsh*t man, I mean some of it is hilarious i'll give Rockstar that their writers come up with tremendously hilarious scripts for the radio talk shows, radiomercials, and dialogue of the characters...but by GOD this game really is pointless. P.S= Guys I was kidding about the whole getting a bandana and having infinite ammo thing...so I like to exaggerate.. I KNOW NOW I JUST NEED TO BUY ALOT OF AMMO IN BULK, www.surplusammo.com girls and boys. MUHaHAHAHAHAHAHblizizizizizizHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Specially since blaming a game for a kid's behavior is as stupid and groundless as blaming a movie or TV show for a kid's behavior.

Not the same thing. Games today aren't really "games", they are simulations. Nobody can despute that. And given how strongly media-driven the US society is, it's not hard to see how something like GTA would have a negative influence. It looks and feels real enough. It gives a realistic "down-to-earth" scenario that a lot of people can associate with. It's not like Metal Gear where you are in an enemy base sneaking around to take out a giant mecha. GTA deals with action in the streets, in every-day surroundings.
I'm not saying that a game like that would be completely responsible for a kid doing violence, all I'm saying is that it adds to it. There is no argument that parents should pay closer attention to the way the kids are raised, but you know what, think back to MGS2. Remember what Snake tells Raiden about "diminished sense of reality"? VR training isn't far removed from what we see with games today. As detailed and as realistic as they are the line between reality and fantasy gets blurry. You throw into the mix how much most kids can relate to the setting of GTA and you get EXACTLY what MGS2 stressed. Diminshed sense of reality; you don't get it nearly as much from TV or movies as you do with a fully interactive world of a video game simulation. Something to think about.

Couldnt have said it better myself. Cernex, face it bro kids cant accept responsibility for their actions WHEN THEY KNOW THEY f...ck UP, so its easy for them to blame it on a video game that borders reality, brother....I mean thats just the way it is. If you could see the difference is tremendous if you came to the U.S, and saw the way of life here man besides watching it on T.V. In Mexico, there is still an attitude of a relaxed and calm way of life even though yea there is alot of craziness...but the media doesnt control everything in Mexico, like they do here. And they way of life over here is driven for you to make fast money, live in the fast lane. Thats why I liked living in Mexico, actually the way of life was different even though it is catching up to what the U.S is now.
