If you value keeping yourself in the dark about MGS4. DO NOT go to other forum communties, the official guide is out tomorrow for the game. I dont know if this was touched on, but I figured I would give a headsup to those who didnt know. As Ocelot says "If you value your lives, I suggest you run now!"

I doubt it'll be that bad. I mean really, just watch what threads you read.

I don't get it. Why would they release the guide this early? The game has a world-wide release date, so it doesn't make sense.

I think it's just to have them in stock before the game gets released, but I don't know. It is kind of far-fetched.

Well, I pre-ordered mine. I just came from school and stopped there on the way, and said the release date was changed to 6/04.
True enough, when I came home I checked the site and saw the shipping date changed to today, so they SHOULD arrive tomorrow. But like the guy said, tomorrow it might probably change. And then the day after tomorrow, and so on.
Either way, the guy told me he'd give me a call when they get it.
Btw, I MIGHT get MGS4 a few days before the release date. I was checking their upcoming release dates, and MGS4 is slated for 6/12, but the shipping date is 6/06. Meaning, their shipments might arrive 6/07 at the earliest. If they do, the guy said he'd tried to slip me my copy before the release date. ><

Sneaky! Good for you! You'll be done with it while the rest of us will still be making predictions. LOL! Then you can point and laugh!

I was thinking about that, playing it non-stop I mean... It was hard, but I still managed to go to sleep one time when playing MGS3 for the first time. My playtime was 25 hours and I did it in two sittings.
MGS4 is said to take like 29 hours (longest I've heard) and I might just finish in that playtime I figure. But this game... No way in hell am I going to willingly turn the game off before I finish. I will probably have to be checked into a hospital by the time I'm done.

I wouldn't do that. I'de rather not be all tired so that I can fully appreciate the ending.

the strategy guide contains character profiles and one of them basically has the entire plot around him.
