no offense ag, i respect u and like mgf but right now omg man.
you put a spoiler on the front page. yes i kno the game is leaked yes i kno that pic is available on gamefaqs or wutever but cmon some of us are avoiding spoilers. now i hav to stay away from mgf until i get the game 6/12 and beat it.
i mean lol it looks good but u should have waited till 6/12. the new character was obviouslee going 2 b in mgs4 but the bckground gave something else away i didnt even kno!
see u all after i beat tehgaem!

Unfortunetely you beat me to the forums as I was making the final changes to the main page. I was going to put a Spoiler warning. Sorry about that.
But yes, MGF front page does feature a Spoiler now. It's nothing you would be shocked over, but it does count as a Spoiler.

In all honesty, things like that image are what hypes me up about MGS4. For the most part I don’t like what I see in the trailers. I don’t like war games, so the whole setting is not my first choice. What I like about the series is the stealth and the “peaceful” sneaking in the shadows. This game won’t have that. So my hype is rather small for it. However, seeing Rex vs Ray and Snake vs “Spoiler” is so refreshing! That’s what I can’t wait for!

no offense i mean its a great pic and the ingame scene is great but it spoiled it for me. ppl who dont know for sure would sh*t there pants when they see it ingame lol but i expected it.
not ur fault tho i already saw a similar pic so it wasnt u who spoield it but somebody else could hav been by u... oh well its june 12 already time to move on......

In all honesty, things like that image are what hypes me up about MGS4. seeing Snake vs “Spoiler” is so refreshing! It's unbelievable ! Didn't it occur to you that it wasn't the same for everyone ? That some people like to find you these things while playing the game rather than seeing screenshots on a website ? Moreover, it's not as if it was on the MGS4 page... No, no, no... It's on the FRONT PAGE, so nobody can avoid it !  Well done, webmaster ! Well done ! Thanks for spoiling the game ! |

Wo hold on there sport. MGS4 cameout worldwide on June 12th. The update was made yesterday, June 13th. Once the game is out, there is no longer an obligation on my part to keep Spoilers from being out in the open.
The game has been officially out for 2 days now. If you still have not played it and you decided to go Internet browsing for Metal Gear you are at your own risk. After the release date there are no spoilers anymore, from an official stand point that is.

MGS4 cameout worldwide on June 12th. The update was made yesterday, June 13th. As indicated in the first post of this topic, the first part / banner of the new front page (which reveals the most part of the spoiler scene) was added on June 10th (two days before the official release date). And I saw it before June 12th. Thus, according to your own "rules", it was a spoiler. The game has been officially out for 2 days now. After the release date there are no spoilers anymore, from an official stand point that is. 1. Not everybody buy the game on the release date. 2. Even if someone buys the game on the release date, (s)he doesn't necessarily finish the game the next day. 3. I wonder why The Snake Soup, Metal Gear Solid : The Unofficial Site, NeoGAF, JunkerHQ boards, IGN boards, GameFAQs boards, ... indicate there are spoilers / mask spoilers / use a separate spoiler board ... But I guess they're just pussies according to you, right ? |

The first banner I posted was already discussed and I stated everything on that topic. And if your complaint is about the first banner, which I know it isn't, then you would've posted on June 10th or 11th, not now. So don't cry me a river about that.
Not my problem. It's cold, but it's true. The game is out for all to buy, if you CHOOSE not to (whatever the reason, usually finances) it is YOUR choice. Once the game is out I can put any and all content up on the site for all to view. Period. If you are so concerned about spoilers you should not be browsing MG-related places, which again is YOUR choice.
All the Spoilers were marked on this forum, so I don't see why you even bring that up.
When did I say that?
The bottom line is that after June 12th ANY MGS4 content can be put up, plain and simple. I understand your point of view, but you should understand mine. The site is my tribute to the series, simple as that. And if I finished the game and feel the need to add new content based on it, I will do that.
On a related note, I really don't care for your approach to this. You registered your account here on December 10th, 2006. And in a year and half you NEVER posted. Your first 2 posts are complaints. Pardon me if I choose not to feel bad for your situation.

LOL. You think the communities on those boards are going to pay attention to the spoiler tagged boards and post spoilers there? Just go to Teh Vestibule.
Don't talk bad about this site when you go to a MGS related website in the first place, you're just asking to be spoiled if you do that.
