Yahtzee's is actually right most of the time. The only time I didn't agree with him WASN'T on Brawl (which I actually still play), but with Zelda DS, here he complained on things you could skip most of the time.
Also, A.G doesn't likes him since the Uncharted review, xD. Which was spot on, BTW.

Actually, I don’t “hate” him. What is it with you people? Either I have to love something or hate it. If I liked Uncharted that surely I love it! If I don’t care for some goof speed-talking smack about things... sure I must hate him. Geez... Wow... that’s kinda sad actually. So why are you a fan then? According to that goof the series is very badly written. MGS4 had poor gameplay? LOL! I find MGS4 the most enjoyable game in the series in terms of actual gameplay. I can use stealth or action and the controls are the best yet. Given the amount of abilities Snake has the controls are VERY well done. Oh, and his digs on the story... f...ck you! Yet another “intellectual” whining about how long the story and cutscenes are. It’s been 10 years of that now, that’s how the series works. His dig on stealth and how easy things are by using the tranq, completely inaccurate. Clearly he played the game on Easy. You like his review? You agree with it? Yay for you! I look at him as nothing more than another wannabe critic that thinks he got it figured out. Glad he’s around, there’s certainly a massive shortage of folks like that!  Nope, didn’t watch it. I saw the MGS4 review and about half of the E3 footage. Honestly, I can’t stand listening to him so I didn’t finish. Let me guess... gonna take a wild stab at it here even though I don’t know the guy that well... but he didn’t like Uncharted, huh? LOL! The game was good. It wasn't great, it wasn’t a work of art, but it was fun. I liked the cast, I liked the settings, I liked the gameplay and the controls. The only issue I had with it was the repetitive battles, but that’s just me not being a massive shooter fan. I hate critics, and especially wannabe critics. Everyone can nitpick and sh*t on something. Most of them can never create anything of quality themselves. So no, I don’t “hate” him, I just don’t acknowledge the merit of what he says. Another nobody with a big mouth. Big shock on the Internet. |

lmao  "YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!" thats all i gotta say. i would defend his take on mgs4, but i dont have to cause he did it pretty well. yeah i like the game, AS A FAN. because ive been with the series for 10 years. but when i look at it as a stand alone game for newcamers, it's not that good. like he said, "if youre not a fan of MGS, then you're no invited to the MGS4 party."  Well, people like him HAVE to be around to balance out the number of fanboys out there, in order to shut them up. |

Yeah? Can you? Either you didn’t bother reading what I wrote or you didn’t understand his review, one or the other. He states that the Metal Gear SERIES is badly written. So when you say that you agree with him AND that you’ve been and MGS fan for 10 years that makes you a dope. He pretty much put down the entire series, and you agreed with that. So... why are you a fan then? Yeah... So, can YOU handle the "truth"? "I've been a fan of bad writing for 10 years now!" As for “the truth” on MGS4... You know what, MGS4 was made FOR the fans. MGS4 gave the fan community what they asked for. It’s really that simple. And frankly, it makes me sick to watch you bad mouth the game after years of waiting and anticipating. The game does NOTHING wrong. NOTHING. Yes, the format is different because unlike the past installments this one actually aims to answer instead of question. Yes, the gamplay is different because Kojima finally stepped into the 21st Century. Unlike past games you have the ability to control how you play it. Run and gun in the past games SUCKED, including MGS3. This one gives you a CHOICE. So as far as his critique, it was about 99% bull sh*t. And I stand by that. LMAO! Are you serious? Please tell me you didn't just say that! There is a 4 in the f...cking title!!!! Are you mad?! How stupid does a person have to be to pick up a FOURTH game in a series that is so well known for complex storylines and expect to “get it” without playing the older ones?! Honestly, that’s the stupidest criticism I’ve heard yet. “Der... I never played Metal Gear but I’ll start with part 4! Hope I understand everything!” Yeah, damn skippy those folks aren’t “invited to the party”. With reasoning like that I would be shocked if they were able to turn the PS3 on. So basically you support a criticism based on the fact that this game is a conclusion to the series and is aimed at explaining the previous installments? Wow... That’s why it’s a Metal Gear SAGA. You see, you need to play the other titles to understand the finale. That’s how it works. But I guess you and what’s his name are too cool for that. Why? If I like the game and I want to rave about it, why can’t I? Why do we need someone to “shut people up” only for the purpose of shutting them up? Further more, it boils down to him being a stereotypical attention whore that only puts something down because it is generally well received. When major gaming networks and magazines almost universally praise the game with perfect and near-perfect scores you will always have that f...ckjob in the corner who “knows better”. It’s the grungy dumbass in the back of the class that’s “too good to be in school”, who’s life is “too real” for the “normals" to understand. This guy is the same EXACT deal. “Oooh, everyone likes this game. So... I’ll sh*t on it and pretend that I can think outside the box”. Gimme a break! I’m not saying that everyone has to love MGS4. A lot of people like GTA, I don’t. But my criticism of it is based on a personal opinion of the genre and the concepts the game tackles. He puts down MGS4 on points that... well... are completely inaccurate. In fact, I would venture to say that he didn’t even finish the game, and if he did it was on EASY. |

The admin of this site is definitely a...... *drummroll* ta-da!  im not gonna respond to... all that rant, but i will say that when he said that mgs is badly written he didnt mean the story sucked, he meant it was badly written. as in, kojima is in serious need of an editor. theres too much dialogue, and unless youve put up with the first three games, mgs4 will put you to sleep. |

Yet another WTF comment in your attempt to be cool/funny.  Oh, I see. Rant huh? Which is absolutely nothing like that guy's review... Geez... See now, if you bothered to read what I wrote, you wouldn't say that. It was covered in my previews post. But since you were kind enough to give me a diagram of my fanboism, I'll give you this: SAGA = multiple installments. SAGA conclusion = wraps up the plot of all previous installments. So if the person belives that MGS 4 should be intended for someone that hasn't played 1, 2, and 3 then he is a MORON! Back on the topic of E3, why are you surprised? The gaming community never knows what they want and the gaming industry tries to cash in with as much useless crap as they can. Every E3 you want something groundbreaking and new. Why? It f...cking takes time to develop things like that. First you whine that nothing blew your mind and then you complain about the quality of rush products. The fact is the gaming industry is too greedy to consistently invest time and money into quality products and the gaming community is too jaded to be impressed most of the time. |
