It's more than that, though. PSP has been out for a while and it was never outselling the DS. The reason is that most gamers just didn't know what a PSP could do at the time it came out. Frankly it's too big compared to phones and it didn't have the kid appeal. The adults had little use for it and kids didn't care for it. That'll cut your demand real quick.
Sony has failed in this generation, miserably. But I think a lot of the issues where that people just weren't ready for that type of technology. I love Blu-ray, but it's not THE format yet. And by the time it is the PS3 will be a memory.

i think its the price. especially for the ps3. the wii is obviously lol when it comes to tech but $250 makes it a deal comapred to $400+ for ps3. yet the ps3 is sold at a loss
