I was listening to this podcast on MGS4 (a site called Giant Bomb) and the way one of the hosts summarized the ending of the series was something like "Nanomachines are everything, the Patriots start here and end here, it's very clear in this game, these guys were A.I.'s, you destroy the network and win the day." Then a funny thought occured to me: MGS4 and the NES port of Metal Gear ended in the same way - you destroy a supercomputer instead of a Metal Gear in the end.
Ironic, ain't it?

Yeah... wow... Either I have like the MG NES more or MGS4 less... I don't like the prospect of either choice. What I'm still bothered about MGS4 is that microwave hallway. Dramatic? Yes. But what was the point?! MK. III went through it unaffected and uploaded the virus? What was the point of Snake going through it?! It's not like they knew the Dward Gekko would be there.
