As I mentioned earlier, I've been working on a drawing for the last couple of months. The theme was the Russian Three Musketeers movie. It's been nearly 3 years since my last serious drawing. I'm glad to see I didn't miss a step. I'm sorry for the poor photo quality. Took some with flash, some without. Some in the frame, some out of the frame. The photos are just no good. But it gives you some idea. It's a big drawing, 18x24. And it's all done with a regular mechanical pencil. 0.5 lead. Nothing fancy In the frame, photo with flash: In frame, no flash, dim light: Top half, no flash: Bottome half, no flash: Like any work of art, it should be viewed in person, no in a photo. But... it's something to give you an idea. Thoughts?

I'm thinking of doing a second one from the second movie, "Musketeers 20 years later". They had more colorful costumes in that one and I think it would work really well in Watercolor. Here's a clip from that movie:

You should definately do it. I didn't know you could draw, and I could never imagine you would be so incredibly good at it. I've known you for what, 4 years now? How come you never flashed your talents before? Watched that clip BTW and the music was awesome. And the language had a somewhat hypnotizing effect on me. Didn't understand anything though.

I got out of drawing for years... just got fed up with it after college. Plus I was working more on the site and spent more time being creative with photoshop instead. But now that my computer arts have slowed down, I found myself wanting to draw again. So, I'm slowly getting back into it. Did you watch the clips in the Three Musketeers thread? A lot of good ones there! mgarsenal.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gendisa&action=display&thread=4607Here's the theme song of the earlier clip that you liked:

Damn, that theme song is great. I loved the singing too. Thanks for sharing. I'm gonna check out the vids. And it's great you've decided to take up drawing again, you shouldn't waste your skills man

Uhm...what the heck, Arsenal? I've been coming here since 2002 or so and you just bust out this art style that's on par with Hollywood? If I were seeing this in person, it would no doubt be the nicest bit of pencil-on-paper artwork I've ever seen (in person). I thought I was okay at drawing, this blows me away. Were you an art major?

Indeed, but that was a while back. With my interest in photoshopping fading now, I think I will have my drawing come forward.
