Hey, Genaside 2 here. Just stopped by to see how things have been here, still alive and well I see. Was snooping my old posts, boy was I ignorant!! I guess it fades with age. Example: mgarsenal.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=off&action=display&thread=1764&page=1Anyway, I have not played MGS4 yet. Don't have a PS3 still so I'm lacking in the currents of Solid Snake. Can't wait to see what I'm missing. I have to ask; Did MGS4 topple the other fan favorites? Good to see y'all again

Not one game in the series surpasses the others in every way. Each one is the best at something. MGS4 is no acception. Best gameplay, best graphics, widest selection of atmospheres and variety. And I would say by far the most emotional GAMEPLAY. The Shadow Moses chapter was just an emotional cutscene... EVERYTHING was emotional for those of us that remember playing that game when it came out 9-10 years ago. Almost every part of that chapter, cutscene or gameplay, was filled with emotion. And of course it had the greatest boss battle ever, REX vs RAY.

Welcome back, Genaside. What a difference a few years makes, ay? I'll take this into consideration the next time I tell some runt to "grow up and come back in a few years." Here's a testimonial to that: it works!

I'm seriously going to explode the moment I see the game intro and have the controller in my hands! Sad thing is I'm sure I'm not going to play it for AT LEAST another freaking year.
Glad to hear it's a worthy edition AG, figured it was going to be.

I liked how each Act included a different element of gameplay. That really made the game for me.
I'm done with MGS4, though. Three playthroughs and I suddenly don't want to buy a PS3 anymore.
