Let’s face it. It's heading into a new direction. Metal Gear has become a brand in the videogame industry.

The story revolving around the Patriots is done, finished, over. Metal Gear Solid 4 closed it. And it was one hell of a job! The most complex storyline I have ever played in a videogame series. Not to mention the music, dialog, cut scenes, everything. Beautiful!

But how would you feel if there would be another Godfather sequel? (A perfect movie trilogy!) You wouldn’t even comprehend why. Millions of fans would be outraged, even speaking about it is blasphemy.

This is what's happening... For the first time I'm seeing people who are not happy with new Metal Gear titles.

Kojima has said countless of times he would stop, giving the series the honor it deserves. He created something SO GOOD, the only way to respect it is to leave it alone.

If you keep expanding what will you eventually end up with? It will not only do harm but it will put it to shame.

Raiden: Rising. Lighting Bolt Action… this is the stuff I’m definitely not waiting for! Why does it have to be connected with Metal Gear?! Why not create it as a totally new game?

This is the downfall.

This is just being nitpicky, but I don't know of a single person who sincerely thinks the third Godfather film was anything but awful and unneeded. Better trilogy examples I can think of: Lord of the Rings, Hannibal Lecter movies starring Anthony Hopkins and the Bourne Trilogy.

As long as Kojima is directing, I don't care (much). It's TRUE however to say that Metal Gear, the original series, is pretty much DONE. It's over.

The new ones? I... really don't know. Once again, as long as Kojima is directing, MAYBE they will interest me, at least a little bit.

However, this IS the less enthusiastic I've been about a new MG release, being honest.
