When Sony found out the PS2 is still very successful they ditched it's function on the PS3. That's why the PS3 versions of today can't play PS2 games.
So for those who suddenly realized this (including me) they now have to buy a f...cking PS2 (again) while it would run PERFECTLY on the PS3. Sony gave us the finger. Greedy piss ants.

This speaks more volumes about the PS3 failure than the PS2's success.
