A new trailer showing off the co-op multiplayer mode detailed in the Famitsu scans was just shown by Kojima at Konami's GamesCom press conference. www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/event_2009/jp/I like the gameplay. I can totally see now what Kojima meant when he said that this is what he had in mind for MPO. I do still have 2 question though: 1. Can the game be played solo? 2. Is MPO still canon? ;D Gametrailers got the direct feed up for download: www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-09-mgs-peace/54464

How can they call this canon with 4 Snakes? Id understand if itwas a diff mode like MGO but its part of the f...ckin storyline. Kojima said at GamesCon that it was designed specifically for co-op gameplay so I doubt you'll be able to play it with one Snake. Maybe you can play it alone with the other three Snakes controlled by an AI but that still doesnt make anyf...ckin sense. How are cutscenes gonna play out? The whoe story? You start the game and suddenly theres another BigBoss fighting alongside you with no explanation as to why theres another BigBoss in the 1970s? And a flying Metal Gear? f...ck YOU Kojima. You know this just another spinoff. Stop calling it a "true sequel" just generate to hype and sales. You KNOW Metal Gear ended with MGS4.
Go work on another NEW f...ckin game already.

Just because the game is designed for multiplayer does NOT mean there won't be single player action. That's a silly notion. The smart thing here is that he is designing the multi-player aspects to be different then most games. Meaning you're not getting a Green, Red, and Blue Master Cheif that can only do the same thing that you can in Single player missiongs. When you Co-Op you can interact with each other with new abilities and scenarios then a single player. I think that's smart.
I'm sure you can run through the game solo. But that's nothing to hype. Why release a trailer showing things we already know? Solo sneaking has been done and redone in many different ways in the series already. Co-Op and multiplayer is yet to be done well with MGO being nothing but mindless shooting.
Portable Ops and the ATTEMPT at squad-based missions was a flop. It was poorly done on every turn. Peace Walker is showing promise here. The graphics look amazing for a PSP game and there is a lot of originality put into co-op. Let's face, nobody wants to settle for playing as a solider while your friend plays as Snake. So, we have 4 variations of Snake in the game the everyone can choose from.
Thus far, I understand what he's doing and I like it. It's looks to be a good game for the PSP. What we need right now is a trailer about cutscenes and story.
