My Rants...

There is an issue which I really appreciate you all read if you can take the time to. I feel that somebody needs to say something about it.

I was part of a forum which I got into in January and just a month later somebody started making fun of me, basically posting images of me which were wrong, and which clearly violated the Proboards TOS. These were simply to exploit all my weaknesses.

That's ok. I later made my own drawings, which were apparently 'not funny'. And because of this one member went on strike due to the admins not banning me. Somebody tried to tell him that threatening to leave was ridiculous, but one of the admins obviously didn't read the message properly and jumped to the conclusion that the somebody was trying to tell the offended person the wrong thing.

(It's not over yet. I'm not finished yet.) Anyways, a little later, the guy who promised to leave went online for some reason, and made a poll about 'him coming back'. He bitched on about the admins not banning me, which one staff member said would not happen because I made a few contributions to the website.

Everything hasn't ended.

Some time later, I made a thread about having enough of all this, and just because of this one of the staff banned me. He apparently assumed that I was being arrogant and was simply not being reasonable. He also threatened to change my profile username, which he eventually did, and now that I'm banned, I can't modify my profile. Which is really proving to make things worst because everybody is addressing me as the new name. And that just means the staff member is portraying me in a bad light.

The members there have also been giving me negative karma. I don't know about you, but though the Proboards TOS says nothing about negative karma, as far as I am concerned most people on that board are having positive karma.

Why do the people have to target me? How come it has to be me? Why is it so personal? Don't the people realise they're violating the Proboards TOS? To the point, why can't they select somebody else to bully?

Oh, and then there was the part about them making threads about birthdays. When it was my birthday, they made a thread about it being XXX Day, some kind of anniversary about some crap or stuff like that. How come they have to cyberbully me?

What am I going to do? I'm going to get the entire forum destroyed, that's what I'm going to do. I don't care if anybody finds it deleted off the web, I'm going to file the complaint about violating Proboards TOS and I'm going to have it completely destroyed.

One other thing was the fact that this guy said 'all the things on the internet is a joke'. Yet I do not consider it to be a joke. They are picking on me and basically making my weaknesses into something large and you call that a joke!

I want to make something clear here. What some may consider to be a joke may not be considered a joke by others. I'm thinking about leaving the forum, but the game that they talk about is one of my favourites. If they don't stop this childish behaviour of targeting me, I'm afraid I have to destroy the entire website.

The admins are also abusing their authority in changing my profile and banning me for no reason whatsoever! Some new person even went to the extent of claiming that there was 'peace' in the website! Eh, you know what I think?

I think this 'peace' is bullsh*t!

Some questions at this point:

Are the admins abusing their authority?
Why do they pick on me?
Can I delete the website?
Is there really 'peace' on a forum?

I could really bitch on and on but I doubt anybody will like it so that's all for now.

Got a few points to make here.

1. We cannot relate to your story because it is a different forum with different people and situations. You probably won't get any empathy here as it is just too hard to put ourselves in your shoes since we know nothing about said forum, who you are, or how they came to their decisions regarding you.

2. For the reasons stated above, we are probably not the best audience to be ranting to , since we are not directly affected and have no frame of reference.

3. You say that, unfortunately, you have no choice but to destroy their website, yet you would make them stick to some loosely-regulated forum guidelines. What about destroying their website? Wouldn't that break some sort of civic code in place?? Couldn't they then be in the position to say "doesn't he care for the proper protocols, he violated the social contract by destroying our website!" Basically, why are you expecting them to follow the rules if you have your own set of ethics which you can arbitrarily wield over them too? It's hypocrisy.

Last but not least, this is the most important one which will see the best results. If you're mature enough to accept it, it goes just like this...

I think Rule 1 should be to never get too personal on a website. It's really not worth it.

Probably, yeah. Either that or stop caring as much. It's just a website, don't let some posters' comments leak over into your personal thoughts or every day reality.

So some people on the internet don't like you. Big deal.

If you're mature and confident in yourself, it won't really matter whether a random internet forum doesn't like you. They sound like a bunch of kids trying to have a laugh at someone else's expense. No need to one-up them in childishness. Ignore them, leave the board, and they'll forget about you.

Lingering on this will not help anything.
