What movies have you seen/are looking forward to?
I'm not much of a movie buff, but I do enjoy the occasional flick. Today, I watched "Ghost in the Shell." It was pretty cool, but short as hell.

I want to see The Fighter. It looks so damn good.
I watched the Rock a couple of weeks ago. It's one hell of a movie.

My dad loves that movie.
And claims he almost cried when watching Armageddon.

Well, it's not so much the story as its unexpected sacrifice at the end.
Yeah, I think it's tear worthy.

Well, out of the recent stuff I finally got RED on blu-ray. LOVED that movie in the theater and had to get it when it came out. I like action comedies and that one is toally my style! I can see Old Snake being like Bruce Willis in that movie.

Last movies I saw were True Grit (good) and The Rite (bad). I've got some good stuff queued up on Netflix, I'm steering clear of the movie theaters for now (unfortunately I won't get to see The Fighter or The King's Speech until much later).

I just saw The Last Lions today and it was depressing in the way that it shows awesome footage of lions with a stirring narrative and then concludes with the overall message and raison d'etre for creating the movie: animal conservation. There are only 20,000 lions left in the world, down from 450,000 just 50 years ago. Arsenal, being a person with much love for lions, you really would like this movie. There are some heartbreaking scenes which really stay with you (they stayed with me, for sure).

Gonna have to check that one out. Yeah, none of the cats are doing well. The recent study shows that Tigers will be extinct in the wild by 2020.

Also, my girlfriend and I were pretty happy that the theater we saw this at was PACKED for a movie that had barely any promotion. Just before the credits rolled a couple messages were shown describing how you could donate to the cause or text a number from your cellphone to donate $10 instantly. Here's the trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoAcNdeEf_Y

I saw The King's Speech two days ago. Marvelous movie. I loved the camera angles and shooting techniques they used for this one.
If Mr. Firth wins the Oscar this Sunday, it will be well deserved.
